Oberalp S.p.A., part of the Oberrauch Group is owned by the Oberrauch family, who has been active in textiles for five generations. The group, which was founded by Anton Oberrauch 160 years ago, now employs nearly 1.300 people and is active in various sectors as production, retail and wholesale distribution of fashion and sporting goods.

Oberalp was founded in 1981 with the objective of importing high quality sports clothing and equipment into the Italian market and is now one of Italy’s leaders in the field.

1990 Oberalp took over the Munich based Salewa Group and increased its market share in mountaineering sport goods in Europe. Furthermore the brands DYNAFIT and SILVRETTA have been taken over to be the only manufacturer able to supply the full range of touring gear.

Autonomous marketing strategies and a clear positioning of individual brands have been responsible for the constant sales increase in the course of recent years.
